Appeals.

Who decides, and why it is never the person whose decision is challenged.

Published rule

The rule as published.

  • An appeal challenges a specific certification decision. It is not a complaint about service or conduct.
  • The appellant identifies the decision, the grounds, the outcome sought and the supporting evidence.
  • Eligibility and the filing period are checked, and a case reference is issued.
  • The appeal is decided by competent personnel who took no part in the challenged activity, its review or its decision.
  • The outcome is given in writing with reasons, and no discriminatory action follows from filing an appeal.
Do not confuse the routes

This route is for certification only.

This page covers Global Energy Up certification. Complaints and appeals about an Energy Up International validation or verification follow a separate controlled workflow at the Trust Centre. The two are never merged, because the decisions being challenged were taken by different entities under different rules.

Describe the claim — not the service.

Tell us what must be relied on, who will rely on it and by what date. We will confirm the correct programme, evidence requirement and responsible entity — or tell you it is outside our scope.
