Accountable by role, before accountable by name.

Impartiality is not managed by a written policy alone. It is managed by specific people with known responsibilities whose decisions can be traced.

Decision structure

Three responsibilities that never sit with one person.

  1. Engagement team

Performs and documents the verification activities, raises findings and examines the client response.

    Performs
  2. Independent technical reviewer

Reviews the engagement file. Took no part in performing the work and contributed nothing to its findings.

    Reviews
  3. Authorised decision-maker

Takes the issuance decision. Neither performed the engagement nor conducted its independent review.

    Decides
The person who performs tends to defend their conclusion; the person who reviews tends to confirm what they reviewed. The third decision is what breaks that tendency.

What we publish, and when

Publication rule

Individual names, qualifications and biographies are published only once they have been verified against the personnel records and approved for publication. Until then this page presents the structure, which is the part that actually protects the conclusion. Field status: individual profiles — not yet released for publication.

Describe the claim — not the service.

Tell us what must be relied on, who will rely on it and by what date. We will confirm the correct programme, evidence requirement and responsible entity — or tell you it is outside our scope.
