Published rule
The rule as published.
- Causes include persistent or serious failure of the system, refusal of surveillance, misuse of the mark and failure to meet financial or contractual obligations.
- On suspension the certificate is invalid for its whole scope for the period of suspension, and the organisation stops all claims of certification.
- Restoration requires evidence that the cause has been resolved, verified before the certificate is reinstated.
- Where the cause is not resolved within the defined period, the certification is withdrawn.
- A reduction of scope is applied where part of the certified scope no longer meets requirements.
- Suspended and withdrawn certificates are shown with their real status in the public register — hiding them would destroy the value of the register itself.

This page covers Global Energy Up certification. Complaints and appeals about an Energy Up International validation or verification follow a separate controlled workflow at the Trust Centre. The two are never merged, because the decisions being challenged were taken by different entities under different rules.
