Mark rules.

Where the mark may be used, where it may not, and what happens on misuse.

Published rule

The rule as published.

  • The certification mark may be used only by an organisation holding a valid certificate, and only within the certified scope.
  • The mark must not be applied to a product, to product packaging, or in any way that implies product conformity.
  • Where an accreditation symbol is used, it is used only under the conditions set by the accreditation body.
  • Statements about certification must not be misleading about the scope, the sites or the standard.
  • On suspension or withdrawal, use of the mark stops immediately and all references are corrected.
  • Misuse is treated as a nonconformity and may lead to suspension, withdrawal and publication of the status.
Do not confuse the routes

This route is for certification only.

This page covers Global Energy Up certification. Complaints and appeals about an Energy Up International validation or verification follow a separate controlled workflow at the Trust Centre. The two are never merged, because the decisions being challenged were taken by different entities under different rules.

Describe the claim — not the service.

Tell us what must be relied on, who will rely on it and by what date. We will confirm the correct programme, evidence requirement and responsible entity — or tell you it is outside our scope.
