Impartiality.

The rule, what is not accepted, and how commercial pressure is managed.

Published rule

The rule as published.

  • Global Energy Up is responsible for the impartiality of its certification activities and does not allow commercial, financial or other pressure to compromise them.
  • A certification body does not provide consultancy on the management systems it certifies, and does not certify a system it designed or implemented.
  • Threats to impartiality are identified, analysed, documented and treated before an engagement is accepted, and are monitored during delivery.
  • Certification decisions are taken by personnel who did not participate in the audit.
  • Anyone may report a concern about impartiality through the complaints route.
Do not confuse the routes

This route is for certification only.

This page covers Global Energy Up certification. Complaints and appeals about an Energy Up International validation or verification follow a separate controlled workflow at the Trust Centre. The two are never merged, because the decisions being challenged were taken by different entities under different rules.

Describe the claim — not the service.

Tell us what must be relied on, who will rely on it and by what date. We will confirm the correct programme, evidence requirement and responsible entity — or tell you it is outside our scope.
